Description

Immerse yourself in the Italian language! 20 hours of instruction. 

Intensive review of Beginning Italian (A1 level). This course allows students to practice the following elements of Italian grammar that they have already learned: present tense of regular, irregular, modal and reflexive verbs; “passato prossimo; impersonal verb constructions; agreement noun+adjective; personal pronouns (subject and object); possessive and demonstrative adjectives.This course will offer students the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the Italian language and to improve their listening and reading skills, while gaining self-confidence in conversation and expanding their basic vocabulary.

Prerequisite: A1.3.

IMPORTANT FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES: 
Students must read this Health Safety Protocol Waiver and submit to both their CDC vaccination card and a signed copy of the ItalCultura Health Safety Agreement.

The referenced documents should be submitted as soon as possible and they must be received by ItalCultura before students will be permitted to attend an in-person class.

Massimiliano Gioia

Massimiliano was born and raised in La Spezia, Italy. He graduated in Literature with a major in Classics from the University of Florence. He taught Italian literature and History in Treviglio, a small town near Bergamo. In 2003 Massimiliano moved to Chicago and continued his teaching career as an Italian and Latin teacher in Chicago Public Schools and in Lake Forest. Whilst teaching full-time, he earned a Master's in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University and a Master's in Education at National Louis University. He is currently a full-time student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as a language instructor here at ItalCultura.
